Job Description:

Aurizon is seeking a seasoned leader to drive performance and uphold safe working practices in the Supply Chain Superintendent role.

  • Rolling stock maintenance and overhaul supply chains will be under your ownership.
  • You will support locomotive and wagon maintenance, as well as complex overhaul programs.
  • Your expertise will be required to manage key supplier relationships and source optimized solutions.
  • Expert advice on supply chain, materials, and logistics will be provided while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A safety culture promoting inclusivity will be championed.
  • Customer expectations will be met through team-driven, customer-focused, and commercial culture leadership and coaching.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Key Competencies:

Leadership style: intuitive. Team development investment level: deep. Stakeholder engagement approach: central.

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications. Or demonstrated experience in a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of warehousing operations (rail industry experience desired). Familiarity with contemporary supply chain and supplier engagement processes. Well-developed safety management skills and knowledge.
  • Effective team member engagement, relationship building, direction provision, and coaching abilities.
  • High-energy approach with genuine eagerness to encourage team excellence.
