Dandenong Koori Court Coordinator

About the Koori Court, a specialized tribunal within the Children's Court of Victoria, is mandated to handle cases involving children and young people up to 18 years old. The court exercises jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake critical administrative and coordination tasks associated with the Dandenong Koori Court.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Elders, Respected Persons, young people, families, justice stakeholders, legal professionals, youth justice specialists, and other key parties.
- Provide information and referrals to culturally suitable services as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, build strong relationships, and effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
This is an Aboriginal Designated Position. Only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals are eligible for this role.
