About this role:
- We are seeking an experienced Booking Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully coordinating interpreting services in a healthcare setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources, scheduling interpreter shifts, and ensuring the smooth delivery of language services across all modalities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinating interpreting services to ensure timely and effective communication between patients and healthcare providers;
- Scheduling interpreter shifts and allocating resources to meet demand;
- Communicating with interpreters, hospitals staff, and consumers to maintain a smooth delivery of language services;
- Generating booking activity reports and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement;
- Providing operational support to ensure the efficient delivery of interpreting services.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting;
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications and scheduling software;
- Familiarity with medical language services profession;
- An understanding of the role of the interpreter in a culturally and linguistically diverse patient healthcare encounter;
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of healthcare procedures and processes.
