This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience that will allow you to grow professionally and personally. You'll have the opportunity to design and coordinate traction power systems and infrastructure, prepare and review technical reports, and develop strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and coordinating traction power systems and infrastructure
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, feasibility studies, and protection studies
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Engaging in AC/DC traction electrification design and substation design
- Mentoring junior engineers and managing design packages and teams
- Contributing to tender proposals and understanding client requirements
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics or Power Engineering
- Minimum 6 years' experience in detailed traction power supply engineering design
- Strong background in High Voltage and Low Voltage systems, including earth grid design
- Experience with Sydney Trains and/or Transport for NSW projects
- Proficiency in software such as PSCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, DiaLux, Opentrak, OpenPowerNet (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of IEC/EN/ASA/AS/AMB standards
- Site exposure on traction electrification works (preferred)
