We are seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer to join our team at Northern Inland Credit Union. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our risk management strategy, ensuring it is aligned with our objectives and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our risk management framework, including policies and procedures
  • Oversee and manage our enterprise-wide risk management strategy
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks, including operational, financial, strategic, capital, legal and regulatory risks
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and risk profiling to identify emerging risks and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, controls, and action plans to minimize risks to an acceptable level
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and prudential standards
  • Provide guidance on risk matters, including risk assessments of new and varied contracts, products and services
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in business, finance or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior risk and/or compliance role, preferably in the financial services industry or a regulated sector
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies and best practices
