Disability Employment Consultant Job Description

As a Disability Employment Consultant, your role will be to empower individuals with injuries, illnesses or disabilities to become work-ready and secure sustainable employment opportunities.

This challenging yet rewarding role involves working closely with clients to identify their skills, abilities and goals, and providing ongoing support and guidance to help them achieve their employment aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source employment opportunities for clients
  • Help clients identify their skills and abilities and secure employment
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and employers
  • Increase clients' capacity for employment through training and other support services
  • Develop and implement joint employment plans with clients to support their career advancement
  • Build relationships with local employers and community organisations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Current driver's license and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check
  • Able to work full-time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
