As a Traffic and Transport Engineer, you will provide professional and technical advice and guidance on traffic, transport, and parking matters to the organisation and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical advice and guidance on traffic, transport, and parking matters
- Obtain approvals for the installation of traffic facilities through the Local Traffic Committee process
- Undertake the approval process and provide assessment for specific applications in accordance with relevant Acts
- Manage civil/traffic design projects
- Consult and liaise with Council officers, the community, public utilities, and government authorities in relation to traffic matters
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognised degree in Civil Engineering, be eligible to be a member of The Institution of Engineers Australia, and have approximately 5 years of experience in local government. You should also be proficient in using AutoCAD and have a Class C Drivers Licence. It would be preferred but not essential for applicants to have the ability to use traffic modelling software SIDRA.
What's on OfferWe are offering an attractive salary from $101,563.70p.a. plus 11% Superannuation. In addition, City of Parramatta also offers excellent employee benefits, including a range of flexible work arrangements, 14 weeks paid parental leave, access to Long Service Leave after 5 years, and significant leave benefits.
