Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Scientist to join our team at Transport for NSW. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will provide technical support and advice to internal and external partners across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in field investigations, analyses, interpretations, and advice for geotechnical, pavements, and materials aspects related to infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and advice to various internal and external partners, encompassing the whole project lifecycle.
  • Work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and lead geotechnical investigations in diverse terrain and weather conditions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues to ensure effective project delivery.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in geology, geophysics, or a related science/engineering discipline.
  • Current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license.
  • Ability to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.
  • Strong observational and analytical skills, with the ability to lead geotechnical investigations.
  • Familiarity with geoscientific and geotechnical software, as well as knowledge of safety and environmental standards.
