About the Role

The Scientific Officer will be responsible for assisting in field investigations, analyses, and interpretations related to geotechnical, pavements, and materials aspects of infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance. This role will provide technical support and advice to internal and external partners across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in field investigations and laboratory testing
  • Providing technical advice and support to project teams
  • Developing and implementing geotechnical and materials solutions
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure projects

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in geology, geophysics, or related science/engineering discipline
  • Current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license
  • Ability to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion
  • Strong observational and analytical skills
  • Experience in geotechnical, materials, or pavements services
