Relief Chef Manager

Cater Care Australia/Cater Care Services is seeking a highly organized and passionate Relief Chef Manager to oversee kitchen operations across various sites in Victoria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing efficient kitchens, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Kitchen Management: Lead and manage a team of chefs, kitchen hands, and catering assistants to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Menu Planning and Cooking: Plan and prepare a variety of meals for our clients, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Conduct stock takes, order stock, and monitor food costs to optimize kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain and promote kitchen hygiene and food safety practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Trade Qualification: Hold a trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Food Safety Certificate: Possess a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within an institutional setting.
- Leadership and Management: Demonstrate strong team leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Culinary Skills: Possess experience in bulk cooking, functions/conferences, and/or high-end catering.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional customer service skills, with a positive attitude.
- Time Management: Demonstrate strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Personal Qualities: Possess pride in personal appearance and hygiene, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
