Elective Surgical Liaison Nurse Role

We are seeking an experienced Elective Surgical Liaison Nurse to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital on the Park.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, negotiating, and managing the transition of care of patients throughout the continuum. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Elective Surgery waiting list according to the waiting list policy
  • Identifying and triaging suitable patients for the rapid access hub across multiple surgical specialties
  • Streamlining the elective admission process

The Elective Surgery Liaison Nurse will coordinate the procedure schedule with consideration for the patient's clinical urgency, patient suitability for the SVHM Rapid Access Hub, and equitable draw down from the elective surgery waiting list.
