Senior Lending Operations Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned lending operations specialist to join our team. As a key member of our credit management team, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating existing lending processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and digitization.

About the Role:

  • Analyze and evaluate existing lending processes to identify areas for improvement and digitization.
  • Educate and train branch teams on lending best practices, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain a robust credit policy that aligns with industry standards and supports market-appropriate risk-based lending decisions.
  • Engage with regulators, internal and external auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure the credit team's professional development and high performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding regarding privacy legislation and associated acts pertaining to the lending suite of products.
  • People management experience with the strong ability to provide guidance and support to team members in the interests of meeting business performance targets.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full work rights in Australia.
