Technical Support Specialist

Opportunity Overview:

An exciting, permanent role has become available for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team in providing end-user technical support and leveraging remote support technologies to support our customers.

The Technical Support Specialist will work as part of the Technical Support team in delivering high-quality support services, utilizing remote support technologies to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. The role will involve participating in remote and onsite deskside support across our organization, ensuring that all services are provided in accordance with agreed service level targets, risk management, governance, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Effective delivery of second-level support for relevant end-user devices and services, including desktop and laptop configurations, deploying PC images, and supporting related hardware and peripherals.
  • Mobiles, tablets, and printer support.
  • Provide high-level customer service to business users.
  • Design and deploy desktop and laptop configurations that align with our organization's objectives and strategic plans.
  • Ensure desktop security and virus filtering.
  • Research and test new technologies to identify their potential benefit to our organization.
  • Provide a desktop consultation service to business users.
  • Document processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as Service Desk, Digital Workplace, WDS, and Infrastructure teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven experience in building, deploying, and supporting PC images, SCCM, and hardware configuration support.
  • Familiarity and experience with ITIL-based processes.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with strong multi-tasking ability.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
