Key Leadership Opportunity

The South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission operates under the guidance of its Board, with a vision to provide volunteers and employees in the emergency services sector with the necessary resources and support. The Commission works closely with fire and emergency service organisations to ensure effective allocation of resources and provision of adequate frontline services.

This key leadership opportunity appeals to dynamic, outward-focused leaders with relevant experience and expertise. As Chief Executive, you will work closely with Chief Officers of various services to develop and manage a risk-based Emergency Management Framework for the State. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing a strategic policy framework supported by risk management strategies and systems;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to initiate advancements in sector improvements;
  • Engaging with volunteer associations and unions;
  • Maintaining key capabilities such as Public Information and Warning Systems and the State Emergency Information Call Centre Capability.
