Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel in Australia.

About the Role
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance as required, ensuring the hotel's presentation is always excellent.
  • Provide supervision and support to external contractors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs for each property, minimizing downtime and maintaining high standards.
  • Manage daily work records and service schedules, providing accurate insights into operational performance.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the hotel's public areas and guest rooms, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Undertake routine checks on equipment and systems, identifying potential problems before they occur.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in building maintenance or a related field, with a strong understanding of tools and equipment.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, guests, and external partners.
