Lead the Delivery of Strategic Initiatives.
As a strategic project manager, you'll be at the forefront of driving delivery in Queensland's critical minerals sector. You will lead initiatives that grow this sector and play a key role in regulating the resources sector while supporting industry development and growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-impact role that values collaboration, leadership, and results. You'll work flexibly from Townsville or Brisbane on projects that have significant implications for the future economy of Queensland.
- Developing strategies and prioritising tasks.
- Engaging stakeholders on initiative delivery.
- Contributing to Cabinet and policy briefings.
- Representing the department at industry events.
- Overseeing project reporting and governance.
For success in this role, you'll need to demonstrate strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and proven experience delivering and managing multiple projects and policy processes ideally within government, infrastructure, or resource sectors.
The division capitalises on Queensland's minerals, coal, petroleum and gas resources. Mining is the number one wealth generating sector in the state, and this role plays a pivotal part in delivering the Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy.
