As a professional in complaint resolution, you will play a crucial role in upholding the principles of fairness and justice. Your responsibilities will include receiving and assessing complaints, gathering relevant information from stakeholders, and ensuring that all matters are handled in accordance with defined criteria and statutory obligations.

The Role

You will be responsible for triaging complaints in a timely and accurate manner, applying procedural fairness and natural justice principles to ensure that all parties are treated equally. This will involve drafting summaries, recommendations, and outcome advice to support internal review, referral to other agencies, or closure.

In addition to handling individual complaints, you will oversee the classification and handling of complaints, ensuring that they are appropriately referred to adjudicators, local governments, or internal teams as required by legislative obligations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and assessing complaints in accordance with defined criteria and statutory obligations
  • Gathering relevant information from stakeholders, including complainants and local government bodies
  • Applying procedural fairness and natural justice principles in the handling and documentation of all complaint matters
  • Drafting summaries, recommendations, and outcome advice to support internal review, referral to other agencies, or closure
  • Overseeing the classification and handling of complaints

To excel in this role, you will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to possess a current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers' licence or equivalent, and tertiary qualifications in public administration, regulatory practice, or a related field would be highly regarded.
