The Role

As a Senior Android Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing complex native Android applications using Kotlin. Your expertise in the Android SDK and Google's UI design principles will drive technical direction and guide architecture decisions across projects.

You will lead the end-to-end development of native Android applications, collaborate with designers, product managers, and clients to deliver world-class mobile experiences. Your strong experience with Kotlin, Java, and a deep understanding of the Android SDK make you an ideal candidate for this position.

  • Strong experience with Kotlin and Java
  • Deep understanding of the Android SDK
  • Experience building apps that consume RESTful APIs and handle offline persistence, threading, and performance tuning
  • Solid grasp of Google's UI design principles and best practices
  • Knack for benchmarking, optimisation, and writing clean, maintainable code
Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end development of native Android applications using Kotlin
  • Set technical direction and drive architectural decisions across projects
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and clients to deliver world-class mobile experiences
  • Coach and mentor developers to lift capability across the team
  • Build reusable frameworks and patterns that support quality, scalability, and speed
  • Champion best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and performance optimisation
