We are currently seeking a full-time Housekeeping Manager to lead the effective running of the housekeeping team and department.
About the Role:
- Maintain the day-to-day supervision of the entire housekeeping team, ensuring seamless operations and high standards of cleanliness.
- Drive the productivity, motivation, and development of all housekeeping team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure high cleanliness and productivity standards are met and maintained in accordance with company guidelines and industry best practices.
- Organize and allocate rooms for the rostered team members on shift, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing downtime.
- Ensure appropriate chemical safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards and practices are maintained, prioritizing the well-being of team members and guests.
- Monitor labour costs and productivity output according to occupancy levels, while also monitoring room cleanliness standards through regular inspections.
Requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail with previous housekeeping leadership experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- A quick thinker, able to think on the spot to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible, making sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent grooming and presentation skills, reflecting positively on the hotel and its brand.
- A person who is not only a leader but also a team player, willing to roll up their sleeves to support their team and drive success.
