About the Role

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced professional to lead property capital works projects on behalf of our client, a government agency based in Canberra, ACT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage property capital works projects of significant scale and complexity.
  • Oversee all phases of construction project management, including planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery, and handover.
  • Develop and manage business cases, plans, executive briefs, project reports, and status updates.
  • Manage project budgets, review expenditure, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring program governance.
  • Establish and manage procurement and contracts, monitoring contractor performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience with property capital projects of complex scope.
  • Strong background in project leadership and management roles.
  • Qualification in Project Management.
  • Expertise in Project Management and Construction management systems and principles.
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills and accountability.
  • Desirable: Experience with major program changes and rollouts.

  • Competitive pay rate of $754.20 per day, including casual loading.
  • 11.5% superannuation.
  • ASAP start date.
  • Full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week.
