The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deckhand to join our crew. This casual position involves working on a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, assisting with hospitality-related tasks, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Master and crew to prepare the vessel for cruises, managing berthing, controlling mooring lines, and performing deck rounds while addressing engineering and maintenance needs.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and ensure guest safety by assisting with mobility, following safety procedures from the vessel's Safety Management System (SMS), and conducting lookout duties.
  • Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping, assist with food and beverage service, and manage guest requests by communicating specific needs with the office team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional service, willing to go above and beyond for our guests, and have a demonstrated positive 'can-do' attitude. You will be a team player with flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications
  • Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Certificate of Competency - General Purpose Hand (GPH)
  • Coxswain/Master/MED/Radio Operator skills highly regarded
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Safety Handling certificates required
  • Provide First Aid & CPR certificate required
