About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our engineering, facilities, and maintenance operations across multiple sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring optimal equipment performance, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day maintenance activities, including reactive and preventive maintenance, to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse maintenance team, focusing on training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, controlling costs and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain compliance with WHS, OHS, and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and contractors.
  • Oversee capital works, new installations, equipment upgrades, and site expansions, meeting timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage relationships with third-party contractors and service providers, ensuring service delivery meets operational requirements.
Requirements
  1. Proven leadership ability, with experience in managing diverse teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  2. Strong technical expertise in manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and preventive maintenance practices, with excellent mechanical and engineering skills.
  3. Able to quickly assess issues, make data-driven decisions, and implement solutions that minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  4. Experience in managing maintenance budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time.
  5. In-depth knowledge of WHS, OHS, and safety compliance regulations, with a proven track record of maintaining safe working environments and managing risk.
  6. Project management skills, with experience overseeing capital works, equipment upgrades, and facility expansion projects.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, collaborate with senior management, and manage external contractors and service providers.
What We Offer

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
