About the Role
  • This 12-month professional development program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience working across a broad range of areas within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on policy design and implementation projects, applying your skills to real-world challenges.
Key Responsibilities

As a Law Graduate in our program, you will:

  • Provide advice to departments, states, and territories on the application of Cabinet Exemptions to documents discovered in the process of a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.
  • Support the Prime Minister, Cabinet, Portfolio Ministers, and Assistant Ministers on key legal policy work, including anti-corruption, administrative law, constitutional reform, and more.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply, you must have completed your university degree within the last eight years or be in your final year of study. You must also be willing to relocate to Canberra and undergo police, character, and health checks as required.
