**Role Overview**


A position has become available for a highly skilled and reliable Technical Field Service Specialist to join our team at Position Partners. We are seeking a professional who can deliver top-notch services, ensuring a positive customer experience.


This role requires a strong understanding of machine control systems and site solutions, including 2D/3D automation, machine payload weighing, and machine safety systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer support.


**Key Responsibilities**



  • Install and maintain machine control systems and equipment on-site, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Calibrate and commission machine systems and attachments, following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving services to customers.
  • Servicing and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Deliver customer training and support, ensuring they are comfortable using the equipment.

**Requirements**



  • Trade qualification in Auto Electrician, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Light Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills, with a strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to build and manage customer relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented, with a focus on performance-driven results.
  • Sound computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Display a high degree of professionalism and a positive attitude, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostics skills, with strong practical and technical experience.
  • Driver's Licence (car) is required.

**Desirable**



  • Experience with heavy equipment mechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • Experience with heavy equipment auto electrical repairs and maintenance.
  • Experience with mobile plant hydraulic systems.
  • Experience or exposure to installing and maintaining machine control systems.
  • A knowledge of Surveying practices, techniques, and concepts would be beneficial.
  • Interest in new technology development.
