About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable accounting professional to join our Finance & Accounting Team. This role offers a great opportunity for career development, with many challenges and opportunities to develop your skills set.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance & Accounting Team with various tasks, including management accounts, financial statements, APRA returns, and risk register maintenance.

You will also be required to assist with:

  • Management of assets and maintaining asset registers
  • Preparation of financial statements and schedules
  • Assisting with compliance matters, including ASX, ASIC, and FSR requirements
  • Supporting special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions

About You

We are looking for someone who is currently in their third year of tertiary education or has completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, a high attention to detail, and strong time management skills.

In addition, you should be able to:

  • Work positively in a cohesive team
  • Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and innovation
  • Ensure accuracy and validity of payments and orders
