Brisbane, Queensland, Australia beBeeLeadership Full time

As a Principal Advisor (Client Engagement) you'll oversee a dynamic team dedicated to promoting spatial information products and services. This role involves managing video production, organizing industry presentations, facilitating event channels, and engaging stakeholders to ensure the effective promotion of spatial services and the spatial industry to both internal and external clients.

The department's Georesources division capitalises on Queensland's minerals, coal, petroleum and gas resources. Mining is the number one wealth generating sector in the state and the work done in this division plays a key role in regulating the resources sector, while also supporting industry development and sector growth.

This role operates from within the Client Engagement Team, Spatial Information, Georesources in the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development. You will be responsible for leading the team to identify customer needs and to assist clients in the uptake of available products and services.

Your strong interpersonal skills will see you develop relationships quickly with relevant stakeholders to liaise, consult, and negotiate with departmental clients, other levels of government and external organisations on spatial information matters to achieve outcomes and deliver on Government commitments.

You'll have project experience to oversee multiple projects associated with the promotion of spatial services to a broader audience, and preparation of presentations, publications and communications will be second nature to you.

A demonstrated understanding of the Spatial Industry is desirable but not essential as it can be learned over time. Once acquired, you'll maintain a contemporary knowledge and understanding of trends in industry spatial practices and services.

You'll be creative with service delivery enhancements and client engagement techniques. As a successful Principal Advisor, you'll have a high level of communication skills that see you respond with analytical and problem-solving capabilities, the ability to manage multiple complex projects and lead a geographically dispersed team.

To succeed in this role, you'll require strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
