Essential Medication Access Coordinator

">Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Essential Medication Access Coordinator. In this role, you will work directly with healthcare providers and insurance plans/payers to gather information about patient's insurance and the coverage provided for specific pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure cases move through process in compliance with company standards
  • Conduct benefit investigations by making outbound phone calls to payers to verify patient insurance benefit information
  • Verify patient benefits and document specifics including coverage, cost share, and access/provider options
  • Identify coverage restrictions and details on how to expedite patient access
  • Document and initiate prior authorization process and claims appeals
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of benefit investigation experience involving analysis and interpretation of insurance coverage
  • 2-3 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers regarding health insurance plan requirements
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and grammar
  • Salesforce system experience preferred
