Healthcare Access Specialist

This role involves collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure patients receive necessary medications. The Healthcare Access Specialist will work closely with healthcare providers to address coding and billing issues, navigate complex reimbursement systems, and facilitate prior authorizations.
Key Responsibilities- Work directly with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve patient access issues.
- Support healthcare providers in addressing coding and billing concerns.
- Navigate complex reimbursement systems to ensure timely access to medications.
- Facilitate prior authorizations for assigned caseloads.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of Major Medical and Pharmacy Benefit Coverage.
- 2-3 years of benefit investigation experience involving analysis and interpretation of insurance coverage.
- 2-3 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers regarding health insurance plan requirements.
- Salesforce system experience preferred.
