Job Title: Community Events and Activation Program Manager
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our community events and activation program. As the operational lead, coordinator and central point-of-contact, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of Council-led community events and developing and curating community activation projects across the Isaac region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement community engagement and participation programs that align with organisational priorities.
- Provide leadership and coordination in the development and delivery of effective community engagement and development strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key partners and community groups.
- Coordinate and deliver community experiences that build social connections and liveability values in response to identified needs and Council's Social Sustainability Policy.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in event management, including planning and priority management, record keeping, budgeting and procurement.
- Experience in developing and implementing community engagement and participation programs.
- Strong knowledge of diverse regional communities, their challenges and community drivers.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and organisational skills.
- A competitive base salary of $103,919.64 per annum.
- A full-time, permanent position.
- Based in Moranbah.
- 5 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% loading.
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy.
