Children's Ground, a First Nations organisation, aims to drive systems change ensuring dignity, justice, and equity for all children and families. Our approach focuses on national reform, highlighting the importance of a new way of working.
The Children's Ground Approach is a whole-of-community, whole-of-life strategy. We prioritise First Nations knowledge systems and practices, leveraging local expertise to create an integrated system centred on learning, development, and wellbeing. This approach responds to the child and their family through key transition points from pre-birth to young adulthood.
We recognise the cultural, social, and economic strength of our communities. By building on this foundation over a generation, we strive to ensure a future for our children and grandchildren that offers freedom, opportunity, and rights to their culture and identity.
Our presence spans Central Australia and the Top End, with support provided by a Shared Services team based in Melbourne.

- All children and young people deserving wonderful creative and cultural opportunities as they grow
About the Role
This position involves providing coordination and leadership across the Extended Hours programs, focusing on after-hours delivery, a youth steering group, a youth voices and film project, family nights, and a family wellbeing communications initiative.
The extended hours program supports the wellbeing and engagement of children, young people, and families through diverse activities, including after-hours school and youth programs, weekend and school holiday activities, cultural camps, family-based events celebrating culture and achievements, and fostering safety, healing, connection, and empowerment.

- Collaborate with the Head of Extended Hours Program to ensure local program participants serve as key strategic advisors in program development and delivery
