About the Role">

The Head of Primary plays a pivotal leadership role in our executive structure, responsible for managing and operating the College's Primary School on a day-to-day basis. They will have an outstanding knowledge of curriculum, pedagogy and pastoral care, with a proven track record of working with teams to create high-performing cultures that promote student learning.

The Primary School caters for 700 students from Pre Kindergarten through to Year 6, with shared facilities including an outstanding Theatre, Sports Centre, ovals, courts and play areas.

We are seeking an individual with strong leadership capacity, excellent communication skills and relevant teaching qualifications who can drive excellence in education and contribute to our Christian values based community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Primary School team to achieve exceptional educational outcomes
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve student learning and school operations
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the social, emotional and academic growth of students
  • Collaborate with other leaders to develop and implement whole-of-school strategies
Selection Criteria
  • A living Christian faith and commitment to our Mission and Values
  • Curriculum and/or pastoral experience, with a sound understanding of contemporary pedagogy and wellbeing paradigms
  • Strong team building and organisational capacity, with a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve excellence
  • Evident leadership capacity, with strong referee commendations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with staff, students and parents
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)
  • Current Working with Children Check
