As a Manager in our Transaction Diligence team you'll work with many of the world's largest organisations fastest-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the most complex deals in the global market. You will help identify key value drivers challenge assumptions about future performance search for and advise on hidden value and work with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated approach to our clients before during and after the transaction.
This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours please speak with us about potential options.
Your Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage due diligence engagements related to the acquisition or disposal of businesses by private equity investors or strategic corporate buyers. This includes analysing financial and operational results through review of accounting records and management interviews preparing and evaluating pro forma financial information and project managing teams information flows and key stakeholders.
- Deliver financial and commercial insights by identifying and analysing key value drivers that directly impact deal value and structuring. Based on your analysis write up findings and recommendations that support decision-making.
- Contribute to team development and business growth by sharing technical and other knowledge with your team supporting recruitment and key account initiatives and identifying opportunities to offer additional services to clients by understanding the firm's capabilities.
A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting business finance or economics and membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants or an international equivalent are required. Demonstrated experience in a Transaction Services role within an Advisory environment working independently and engaging with senior stakeholders across multiple engagements is also essential. Strong Excel skills and a highly analytical mindset with a passion for solving deal value questions within tight deal timelines are necessary. A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas in a collaborative team environment are also required.
