About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Educator to join our team at the YMCA WA Port Hedland ELC. As a key member of our centre, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to our young children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging and educational programs for 0-to-5-year-old children
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe, hygienic, and inspiring environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of centre policies and procedures
  • Engage with families and children to promote a sense of community and belonging
  • Participate in the supervision and guidance of students on practicum

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
  • HLTAID012 First Aid certificate or equivalent
  • Understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012
  • Previous experience in children's services, developing and implementing programs for 0-to-5-year-old children
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Certificate and Working with Children card
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
