About the Role

St Brigid's Primary School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Principal to join our dynamic leadership team. As a Catholic school leader, you will play a vital role in creating a vibrant school community that promotes staff growth and development.

Main Responsibilities

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of teaching practice that models quality pedagogy and comprehensive knowledge of current educational theories. They will be highly organised and demonstrate a successful record of administrative experience, with an understanding of accountability and meeting deadlines.

You will also have an understanding of industry accountability standards and processes, including EYLF, NQS, QIP, and experience in implementing the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and the Australian Teacher Performance and Development Framework.

Key Selection Criteria

• Leadership skills: The ability to lead Sacramental Programmes, work collaboratively with Parish Priest and Parish Coordinator, and organise school liturgies in collaboration with staff, students, and the parish priest;

• Curriculum expertise: Experience in implementing the WA Curriculum and using the SCSA judging standards across key learning areas;

• Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a successful record of developing positive relationships with all stakeholders;

• Faith witness: A high level of initiative, innovation, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic leadership team, while witnessing their faith and taking a leading role in the religious dimension of the school community;

Desirable Expertise and Experience

• Knowledge of Special Needs would be an advantage;

• Accreditation to Lead in Religious Education would be beneficial;

Qualifications Required

• Accreditation to Lead or working towards this requirement;

• An active member of the Catholic Church (Parish Priest reference required);

• Relevant four-year tertiary qualification;

• Minimum seven years education experience.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
