Job Overview

The role of Payroll Officer involves processing fortnightly payrolls for a large number of employees. This includes interpreting complex award rules, managing leave and contract changes, and preparing Workers Compensation calculations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll transactions accurately and on time
  • Interpret award rules and manage employee leave and contracts
  • Prepare and submit Workers Compensation claims
  • Process Higher Duties requests and manage secondments
  • Manage the payroll inbox and respond to queries from employees and managers
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience using digital payroll systems
  • Sound knowledge of payroll concepts and legislation
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
