Job Overview

The position of Audit Team Leader involves leading audit teams in providing independent and objective assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the effectiveness of governance, risk management frameworks, and controls across the organization.
  • Ensure comprehensive governance frameworks and controls promote effective risk mitigation by management.
  • Develop a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment among team members.
  • Handle complex engagement scopes, facilitating management's agreement on scope and risk assessments.
  • Oversee coordination and planning, including resourcing, managing subject matter experts, and adhering to time budgets.
  • Embrace innovation and create a supportive environment for experimentation during engagements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Audit's strategic/business plan and related procedures and methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven leadership ability with extensive experience in leading audit teams through complex audits.
  • Proficiency in computer-assisted audit techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in auditing banking operations, financial services, financial markets, and financial instruments.
  • Advanced understanding of risk management frameworks and enterprise-wide risk management.
  • Expertise in risk-based auditing methodologies, including internal controls and audit procedures.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related disciplines.
