Job Overview

e.g. an IT governance specialist with a passion for ensuring the integrity of our organisation's technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls and compliance systems related to IT across the global business, providing expert advice on risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Support the delivery of independent, objective assurance and consulting services to senior management, focusing on IT governance, risk management, and controls, to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse data, develop new tests within our chosen data analytics platform (ACL), and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Complete assigned IT audits in line with scope and objectives, covering areas including Cyber Security, Data Governance, and IT Project Reviews, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to maximise effectiveness, identify synergies, and resolve audit issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT related internal and external audits, supported by a relevant qualification in IT or a business field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to accurately scope tasks and projects, setting clear objectives and goals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
About the Role

This role reports to the Chief Internal Auditor and is based onsite at our Corporate Homebush West Office. The successful candidate will support the delivery of independent, objective assurance and consulting services to senior management, focusing on IT governance, risk management, and controls.
