Employment Coach Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Employment Coach. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting participants and school leavers in achieving their employment goals under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Key responsibilities include:

  • Building professional relationships with participants at various stages of their employment journey.
  • Providing a positive and supportive environment for people with disability to reach their employment goals.
  • Creating individual support plans and 12-week plans outlining the participants' journey towards finding and keeping a job.
  • Fostering opportunities enabling individuals to reach their potential as valued community members in line with NDIS goals, including work experience activities.
  • Facilitating individual and group activities using enabling styles such as job readiness skills, volunteering/work experience, and confidence building.
  • Efficiently managing workload, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring all work is completed within designated time frames.
Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to start.
  • A reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants with disabilities, enabling them to build capacity and work toward meeting their employment goals.
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities.
  • High-level customer service skills, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
