We are looking for volunteers who can visit elderly people in their homes, providing companionship and conversation to brighten their day. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life, while also gaining valuable experience and skills.

This is a rewarding opportunity for those who want to give back to their community and make a positive impact on the lives of others. If you are a compassionate and caring person who enjoys talking with others, we would love to hear from you.

The role involves visiting an elderly person in their home on a regular basis, usually weekly or fortnightly. The visits can be tailored to suit your availability, but we ask that you commit to a minimum of 6 months. During the visits, you will engage in conversation, play games, watch movies, or simply sit together and enjoy each other's company.

In return for your time, you will receive training and support to ensure that you feel confident and comfortable in your role. You will also have the opportunity to develop new skills and gain experience in working with older adults.

  • Provide companionship and conversation to elderly people in their homes
  • Visit regularly, usually weekly or fortnightly
  • Commit to a minimum of 6 months
  • Training and support provided

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by us
  • Be able to commit to a regular visiting schedule
