Senior Operations Lead

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within a high-energy manufacturing and fabrication team. They will lead a skilled team of panel builders, ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and on time, all while maintaining a high standard of quality.

This includes managing production schedules and aligning output with project timelines and requirements, overseeing procurement activities and ensuring materials are available when needed, collaborating with internal teams on tender reviews, planning, and project delivery, monitoring job progress, tracking costs, and providing regular performance reporting, as well as driving continuous improvement in processes, safety, and operational effectiveness.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate workshop operations to deliver high-quality electrical panels
  • Manage production schedules and align output with project timelines and requirements
  • Oversee procurement activities and ensure materials are available when needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams on tender reviews, planning, and project delivery
  • Monitor job progress, track costs, and provide regular performance reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, safety, and operational effectiveness
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of production team members

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Essential skills and qualifications include a degree or associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience, proven experience in production, project, or site management ideally in electrical manufacturing, HV infrastructure, or construction, strong knowledge of panel builds, switchboards, or industrial electrical systems, demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage workshop teams, commercially aware with an ability to balance delivery performance and cost control, practical calm under pressure, and highly effective at solving problems, and strong interpersonal and communication skills across departments and stakeholders.

This is a hands-on solutions-focused role that requires the ability to drive results and improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
