Job Title: Design Manager - Project Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our project design and scope from tender to practical completion.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and maintain the Design Plan for the duration of the project
* Ensure that all elements of the design are coordinated between all design team members
* Monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of design resources allocated to the project
* Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design
* Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements

Requirements:

* 4-year degree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering
* Engineering degree in Electrical or Civil/Structural preferred
* Prior experience managing large utilities projects (High Voltage substation and/or transmission lines experience) will be highly regarded
* Strong leadership skills
* Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
* Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
