Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Buildcorp. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, and profitable construction projects from conversion to handover.
Key Responsibilities- Lead by example in promoting, managing, and enforcing on-site safety, including monitoring site safety and completing safety administration.
- Develop skills needed to participate in the tender process, understand advice required on selecting appropriate methodologies, and draft construction methodologies that win client support.
- Assist the Site Manager and Project Manager with design and construction coordination issues, including documentation reviews and RFI's.
- Support the Site Manager in preparing design-compliant project programmes in ASTA to identify and mitigate construction risk.
- Provide innovation and leadership with regards to sustainability on projects.
- Ensure adequate preparation for project finalisation with a thorough project completion plan.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, internal policies, and business systems.
- Understanding of head contracts and subcontracts.
- Design coordination and planning skills.
- Ability to execute design procurement activity.
- Ability to facilitate the design and construction management process.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and the building process and constraints.
- Proficient project financial reporting skills.
