Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager/Senior Design Manager to join our Building Services team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a design team on high-profile projects across various sectors, including Data Centres/Critical Systems, Commercial, Aviation, Education, Healthcare, Master planning, and retail.
With a strong technical background in building services or a related discipline, you will lead large teams to deliver technically sound projects to client briefs within challenging programmes. Your experience in project management, people management, financial and commercial management, marketing, and business development will be essential in driving the success of our projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global award-winning engineering organization, collaborating with our APAC/Global teams and contributing to business development and work-winning efforts. Key Responsibilities- Lead design teams on high-profile projects across various sectors
- Manage project delivery to client briefs within challenging programmes
- Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure successful project outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business development and work-winning efforts
- Contribute to the development of managerial skills, including people management, financial and commercial management, marketing, and business development
- Educated to degree level in Project Management, Engineering, or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent)
- Experience in leading large data centers or critical systems as a design manager working for a lead consultant will be highly regarded
- Proven ability in overseeing creative design solutions and managing projects and client relationships
- Excellent communication skills, project management skills, and experience of using initiative to overcome challenges
