About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team at Cocoon SDA Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to live their lives to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those with physical and neurological disabilities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to develop and maintain their independence, including assisting with mobility and transfers.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.
Requirements
  • Cert III in Disability Services or 12 months of experience in a similar role.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You).
  • Working with Children Check (for participants under the age of 18).
  • Driver's Licence.
  • Car Insurance.
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Availability for sleepover shifts.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Disability Support Worker in the NDIS sector.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injury.
  • Experience working in mental health settings.
  • Non-smoker.
