About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychiatrist to join our Child and Youth Mental Health Service in a vibrant regional facility in tropical North Queensland.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical care to children and young people up to the age of 18 years who present with mental disorders, alcohol and other drug issues, and emotional and/or behavioural problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment services to children and young people in a rural community setting
  • Support the Child and Adolescent Court Liaison Forensic Mental Health Service
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff and medical students
  • Participate in clinical governance activities and the after-hours on-call roster
