Job Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our busy Mental Health team in Mackay.

Position Type: Permanent Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight)
About the Role:
We are currently scheduling interviews for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the mental health of young people in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Offer expert consultation and guidance on complex cases within the team and to external partners.
- Leadership & Teamwork:
- Lead and mentor junior staff, including registrars and allied health professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Contribute to research and academic activities as appropriate.
- Community Engagement:
- Work with local agencies and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and services.
- Engage with families and caregivers to support the holistic care of young patients.
Salary & Benefits:
- Total remuneration value of up to $470,780 (L24) or up to $514,452 (L27), based on experience.
- Base salary between $204,206 - $258,910, depending on classification level.
Additional Benefits:

Requirements:
- Qualifications: Specialist registration with AHPRA

- Vaccination: Compliance with Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements is mandatory.
