Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and management of month-end closure procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Management of monthly business reporting to provide insights and recommendations for business leaders.
  • Lead and manage external audits, including liaising with auditors to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and variance analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Manage cash flow and funding requirements, including monthly cash flow forecasting to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  • Conduct first-level reviews of team outputs, including profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Establish and implement accounting principles, practices, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Act as a finance lead, supporting leadership with key insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Provide financial advice to business leaders for optimal operational performance and growth.

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified with proven experience leading engaged teams and managing complex financial projects.
  • Expertise in managing month-end closures with strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to engage and build effective relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors and business leaders.
  • Proven track record in driving commercial agendas across the business and delivering results.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP is a plus but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate financial information and insights.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong influencing and negotiation skills to drive business outcomes.
