About The Role

This role involves Android development with frequent involvement in Flutter and Dart for cross-platform solutions.

Responsibilities Include And Are Not Limited To:
  • Reporting and taking instruction from the Principal Engineer, Core
  • Contributing to development of SDKs and supporting cloud integration
  • Actively engaging with Core team to resolve challenging design and coding issues
  • Closely collaborating with iOS, cloud, and other teams for seamless feature implementation across platforms.
  • Contribution to technological innovation through exploration of cutting-edge hardware, software, and methods
  • Cross-functional design discussions for aligned app functionality and user experience. Ensuring project reliability, performance, and ease of maintenance
  • Uniform testing and quality assurance processes with QA team across platforms
  • Participating in shared learning sessions and cross-training to familiarise with challenges and solutions across platforms.
  • Presentation of new ideas and approaches to stakeholders
  • Providing reports on and adapting interventions within the company
About YouEssential Skills
  • C++ and Java Native Interface (JNI) experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Native (Java/Kotlin) Android Development.
  • Gradle and Maven library distribution experience.
  • Flutter and Dart experience for cross-platform mobile application development.
  • A strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with modern build pipeline tools such as CI/CD, code coverage of unit tests, peer review process using Pull Requests, and code documentation generation.
  • Standard coding practices and process adherence (e.g., following code style guidelines and implementing unit tests).
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Translation of business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Multithreaded programming background.
  • A solid foundation in programming with clear thinking, communication, and coding abilities.
Desirable Skills
  • Other cross-platform technologies like React Native/Cordova experience.
  • Infrastructure as Code (AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform) experience.
  • Cloud Native solutions (AWS, Google, Azure etc) experience.
  • Tertiary skills: Open Source Software projects or contributions, published app on App Store or Play Store, GitHub repositories or projects involvement, developer community involvement.
