About the Role

We are currently seeking an Industrial Colour Matching Specialist to join our client's manufacturing team in a full-time permanent position. The role involves tinting and blending paints in a factory setting, maintaining the colour management system, and ensuring high-quality products meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Blending paints and tinters to fulfill customer orders efficiently and effectively
  • Utilizing a photospectrometer and associated software to measure and adjust the colour of batches, guaranteeing accuracy and consistency
  • Maintaining a database of colour standards and associated formulas, ensuring seamless production processes
  • Producing, testing, and refining formulas to match colour standards, driving product excellence
  • Calibrating photospectrometer software to incorporate new pigments and tinters, staying ahead of industry trends
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth and timely production processes, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual support

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Preferably experience in Colour industries, such as paints, pigments, inks, dyes, or plastics, demonstrating expertise and knowledge
  • Colour matching experience using a photospectrometer is preferred; Retail candidates are encouraged to apply, showcasing adaptability and transferable skills
  • Ability to read and interpret formulas, applying mathematical concepts to real-world problems
  • Demonstrated physical ability to work with paint cans (25kg), prioritizing safety and efficiency
  • Strong English literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring effective communication and data analysis
  • Proficient computer skills, including spreadsheets, for data-driven decision making
  • Permanent Working Rights in Australia, guaranteeing compliance with local regulations
  • Driver licence, facilitating easy transportation and on-site attendance

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 + superannuation, offering a competitive remuneration package that reflects their value to the organisation.

Working Hours

This role operates on a day shift schedule from 7:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and regular routine.
