Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Field Communications Specialist to join our team. The primary role of this position is to ensure the efficient setup and operational testing of audio/communications facilities on-field or in-studio projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To guarantee that all audio communication facilities within and surrounding the OB compound are functioning and patched for operation readiness by the scheduled hand-over time.
  • Liaise with the project's Audio Director and Technical Manager to ensure you are fully briefed on the size, scope, production schedule of the in-field audio and communications facilities required.
  • Maintain a tidy and professionally presented environment for the audio and communications facilities, ensuring no danger to the public or colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A solid understanding of Riedel and RTS communications systems used across our fleet of trucks and HUBs.
  • Familiarity with audio consoles, particularly LAWO and Calrec, as well as fundamental knowledge of these devices at an engineering level.
  • A good level of operational experience is necessary; ideally, the candidate should have a strong grasp of these devices at an engineering level.
  • Minimum 3 years of television broadcasting experience is preferred.
